Rag Rug Stool
This upcycled stool is traditionally upholstered with handmade, rag rug fabric.
Rag rugging is a traditional technique where small strips of fabric are knotted onto a base fabric. The fabric produced is thick, strong and very textured.
The fabric on the stool is made up of cream, blues and pinks with some striped and printed fabrics mixed through.
Each piece of rag rug fabric is unique as the colour combination and fabric is different each time.
The metal chair frame is painted in a light taupe/pink colour.
